The pocket knife reimagined.
The Pike started with a simple brief: create a modern take on your grandfather’s knife – a simple, clean interpretation of the classic non-locking slip-joint. We paired inviting, warm materials with a clean, modern form meant for those who wanted to carry a knife in their pocket, not on their hip. The result was a slim, minimal design that's destined to become a modern heirloom.
Great quality knife
You know you have something special the minute you take it out of the box. A knife that can be passed down through the family.
A quality pocket folder
Old guy here. I had gotten out of the habit of carrying a pocket knife with all the air travel my work entails. Well, now I am retiring and I wanted something nice to carry with me on that adventure. The Pike, with its Wharncliffe blade, acquits itself nicely as a general purpose utility knife (opening packages) as well as functioning as an elegant part of my EDC. The Pike practically oozes quality. Tactilely, mechanically, and visually, it is clear that it is a carefully designed, precisely engineered, quality piece of work. It's clearly designed to live in one's pocket-- the style to which I am accustomed. Possibly not the best tactical or survival knife, but that's not its brief. It's low key, high quality. No regrets here.
The knife is the right size for a pocket knife and the rosewood makes it look rich, I find it hard to open and hope that it will get easier with time. Oil didn’t make it an easier or smoother open. I just hope that I don’t need to get it open in a hurry.
I recommend the James Brand without reservation.
We chose the beautifully crafted Pike knife to celebrate our fortieth wedding anniversary as a gift for my husband. He loves the look and feel, the materials, the design and artistry. We had been looking for just the right formal gentleman's knife for several years. This is the knife we have searched for. Thank you.
