This is my second James Brand knife. I am not a knife guy, what I mean is that I do not collect them or into them that much. I decided I wanted to have a knife well designed and well made knife in my office. With that the Country life was ordered in dark wood with black blade. Beautiful knife. Now I wanted a small EDC knife to own that was small, sharp and quality. The Elko found a home.

Sharp and sturdy for its size and with a minimalistic design that shows quality and care of a well made product that shows why it is little pricier than others out in the market.

Next up down the road is the Carter I think for me. Looking for a locking blade and again the design, care of creating a product can been seen.

Damascus finish is gorgeous and it does fit well on my keychain. I am knocking off one star though because, as other reviews mention, the blade on this knife was NOT sharp, in fact noticeably dull. For a more expensive knife like this, I should not ever have had to sharpen it myself right after purchase, and have not, in fact, with other brands. But once properly sharpened it works well.

My father is an avid knife collector. I got him this knife for father's day. He loved it and kept expecting the detail. He was so proud he said this would be his Sunday knife :) Great gift will buy again from this company!! A+++++++++++++++

I ordered the Elmo for my dad and it is an amazing tool! The pry bar and the size of the knife are perfect for everyday carry. To boot, my dad is named James, so it’s super cool that the brand on the blade is his name. Bought this as a gift for my girlfriend. Knife was super sharp out of the package and a reliable cut. She loved the quality blade in a small pocket knife and also how neat and clean and minimalistic it was. The bottle opener was great and came in clutch over the weekends cookout.
