With the Carter you get both brawn and beauty.
Featuring a slide-lock mechanism, a corrosion-resistant VG-10 stainless steel blade, fully-profiled G10 or Micarta scales and a deep-carry, reversible pocket clip, the Carter is the most advanced knife we've ever made. It's slim and lightweight, but fully capable in any environment. It's also fully ambidextrous, and the pocket clip can easily be removed and replaced with the included lanyard insert. The thumb disc design means that the Carter is easy to use with one hand, so it's at the ready in all situations. The Carter is going to immediately earn it's spot in your EDC rotation.
Mechanics work like butter. Looks cool (not tactical). Sharp. Using the clip, it moves in and out of my pocket just fine.
I have a dozen-or so-pocket knives, this is the one I carry.
The Carter replaced my Benchmade Mini Grip
I couldn’t find my mini grip one day and as it turns out my wife claimed it was now hers. I had a Folsom but my son liked and I gave it to him. I saw the Carter and knew this was a worthy successor to both. It’s my new EDC and is the perfect size...looks good too. I will say the Mini Grip was a workhorse for me around the ranch. I hope the Carter holds up as well. D
Excellent knife. Perfect size.
More pocket time
I thought I was done for a while buying knives. I finally settled into a rotation for my pocket knives. I did everyday of the week. This one had screwed my system up. I'll carry is 3 or 4 days straight! I was intrigued because it had won an award. I see now why! Very well made, smith smooth opening, very sharp and easy on the eye. There was another i wanted, but it was out of stock. I will have 2 as soon as that one is back.
The Carter is the second James Brand knife I've purchased. As expected the build quality, fit and finish is way above most other products I own. The Carter is my new daily carry knife and I don't expect it to be replaced any time soon, unless I order another James Brand product. Hmm, maybe The Pike...
