Mind meets hand.
The Benton uses a 304 stainless steel barrel design, which means you won’t crack your cartridge – keeping the ink where it’s meant to be, on the page. With its pusher-mounted lanyard, you can pull it from your pocket easily, or you can keep it at the ready with the PVD-coated steel pocket clip (or both). The Benton will become a staple of your everyday-carry before you know it.
This is a nice pen. For half the cost it would be amazing. I would think that I would not be hearing the "click" and the spring actually making squeaking metal sounds when i click it to use or close. It writes as well as any other pen that cost a few dollars. I like it and will definitely keep it but it's a bit underwhelming.
A Simple Sturdy elegant pen
The look and finish of the pen is very good. I like pens with some rubbery or matte finish as they tend to not have any micro scratches as it is used over the period of time. This pen is great in terms of usage and style symbol when carried. I don’t use the refill that it came with. I use Premec Parker style gel refill with 0.4mm thick. Overall it is a best ever finding by myself for me.
Cool design but has flaws
So after receiving this pen as a gift from my wife over a year ago I felt it was time to leave a little review. Overall I really like the feel and weight of this pen. I've used it daily and always have it clipped to my pocket. The only flaw that still bugs me is the "rattle" of the cartridge when you write. The tip of the cartridge hits the tip of pens barrel. When I have headphones in I don't notice it but it's one of those noises that when you hear its all you will hear. But again overall I love the pen I just hope that James comes up with a different mechanism that holds the ink cartridge better.
What a feeling!
Reviewing a pen is hard to put into words... Haha, seriously though this pen is wonderful. High quality, perfect details and nothing else. Didn't think I would use the lanyard but I fell in love with that too. This pen just feels so damn good in my hand. Writing is glorious, it's actually inspiring me to write more. I literally ordered 8 different notebooks and a year planner so I can use this pen more. Great job TJB! My new EDC.
Writes very smooth and feels solid in the hand
