The James interpretation of the legendary liner-lock.
Featuring slim scales and a steel liner-lock, the Folsom is ready to be put through the paces. The Carpenter CTS-BD1 stainless steel blade holds an edge, resists corrosion and as is easy to care for. This is a knife that you will have and use for a lifetime. With an ambidextrous blade opening slot and reversible clip, tip-up carry, and serious gripping power, this is a blade you'll find in your EDC on the regular.
Beautifully Crafted Knife
I love this knife. Great weight to it and very easy to open.
One of my favorites
I’m your typical knife nut and own many knives from spyderco, benchmade and many other smaller brands. But when going out I find often I reach for my Folsom. I first bought the G10 version and when the micarta version came out I instantly pulled the trigger. So why the Folsom? I love the design and practicality of it. No flashy, zingy, form over function design. On the plus side, the James Brand has excellent customer service. My preference for pocket clips towards subtlety, living in a very large metropolitan city having a shiny, flashy pocket clip draws too much attention. Contacting the James Brand company and getting a replacement black clip for knives I ordered was a real pleasant experience.
Nice Knife - mid-grade steel
The styling is really nice, and it is well made. Fits in my hand well too. The packing is also extremely well done. My only complaint would be the steel. For this price, I'd like a better steel and less flashy packaging as a trade off. Overall, the presentation is nice and the blade is sharp and I really love the white on black. We'll see what the longevity is on the white scales, but so far, holding up well.
Awesome knife for the money
I really think this is the sleeper of "the James Brand" collection. You can easily drop $300 on The Chapter, $400 on The Clovis or $275 on The Duval. Which are all awesome knives. But this knife, The Duval, is barely over $100 at $125. The thumb hole deployment works like this is the only kind of deployment they have ever done and done well!
Impressed with detail and initial quality. Would like to see a model just smaller than the folsom, more pocket friendly.
